Nordic Spitz Belgium, abbreviated below NSB, attaches great importance to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy.
In this privacy statement we want to provide clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data. We do everything we can to guarantee your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care.
NSB complies in all cases with applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation.
This means that we at least:
- process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided, these purposes and type of personal data are described in this privacy statement;
- processing of your personal data is limited to only those data that are at least necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
- ask for your explicit consent if we need it for the processing of your personal data;
- have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your personal data;
- not pass on personal data to other parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the purposes for which they were provided;
- be aware of your rights regarding your personal data, wish to point this out to you and respect them.

Why do we process personal data

Your personal data is processed by NSB for the following purposes and legal grounds:
- keeping the NSB member register
- to participate in NSB activities
- sending newsletters and invitations
- sending the NSB member magazine
- mentioning information about breeders on the NSB website and social media
- keeping track of results of competitions, medical examinations, ... of dogs of the breeds that NSB represents

For the above purposes, we may request, collect and process the following personal data from you:
- Personal identity data: name, first name, address, telephone number, e-mail address
- Information about your dogs: number, breeds, names, competition and health results, pedigree data, breeding data
- for breeder members: kennel name, website, litter info
We only use the collected data for the purposes for which we obtained the data.

Publishing photos (portrait right)

NSB regularly publishes photos of public events. Photos are also used in all kinds of publications such as the member magazine, a folder, social media ... The images are always taken with respect for who is in the photos. No permission is required for the publication of spontaneous general photos. We assume that you have no objection to the publication of the images related to NSB's activities and events. If you still object to this, you can mail it to info@nordicspitz.be. We will respect your objection and remove your images.

Provision to third parties

We may provide the data you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the purposes described above. (eg for taking care of the internet environment and IT infrastructure, providing and distributing newsletters, invitations, member magazines, application to join KKUSH, ...)
We never pass on personal data to other parties with whom we have not concluded a processor agreement. 
We will of course make the necessary agreements with these parties (processors) to guarantee the security of your personal data. 
Furthermore, we will not pass on the information you provide to third parties, unless this is required and permitted by law.
We can also share personal data with third parties if you give us permission to do so. You have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
We do not provide personal data to parties located outside the EU.

Retention period

Vzw Nordic Spitz Belgium does not store personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided or required by law.
The personal data is stored for the term of the membership and for a maximum of 2 years after the termination of the membership.
Data of competition and health results, as well as litter information, are kept for an indefinite period, in order to keep track of the evolution of the varieties in the longer term, which is an important objective of the non-profit organization.

Security of the data

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unlawful processing, destruction, loss, damage or disclosure, for example:
- all persons who can access your data on behalf of NSB are bound to secrecy.
- our directors and employees have been informed about the importance of the protection of personal data.
- Back-ups are made of the personal data in order to be able to restore it in the event of physical or technical incidents.

Your rights regarding your data

You have the right to inspect and to correct or delete the personal data we have received from you. At the top of this privacy statement is how you can contact us.
In order to prevent abuse, we can ask you to adequately identify yourself.
You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or part thereof) by us or by one of our processors. Please keep in mind that you cannot be or remain a member of our association, if we do not have the personal data required for this.
You also have the right to have the information provided by you transferred by us to yourself or directly to another party on your instructions. We may ask you to identify yourself before we can respond to the aforementioned requests.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, we ask you to contact us directly to give us the opportunity to rectify this.
You always have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission, which is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.

Vzw Nordic Spitz Belgium can change its privacy statement. We will make an announcement of this change on our website.

Your personal data is processed by vzw Nordic Spitz Belgium, registered office Hoekstraat 25 - 9200 Oudegem, info@nordicspitz.be, for member management and organization of activities based on our contractual relationship as a result of your registration and to keep you informed of our activities (direct marketing).
If you do not want to be kept informed of our activities, it is sufficient to inform us at info@nordicspitz.be. Via this address you can also always ask what data we process about you and correct it or have it erased, or ask them to transfer it.
